What is the REALTORS® Helping REALTORS® Fund?

Established in 1999, the fund was created specifically to help REALTORS® in the event of a catastrophic illness. By contributing, people may soon be part of giving someone in the REALTOR® family hope and help they need to get back on their feet.

Since REALTORS typically can’t work when ill or injured, the fund has provided a lifeline to many people who have had ill fortune, allowing them to take the time to recover and to resume their lives.

Members of Cape Fear Realtors and their spouses/domestic partners and dependents with medical hardship due to unexpected major emergencies, are eligible to apply for a grant.

Who Is Eligible To Receive A Grant?

Members of Cape Fear Realtors and their spouses/domestic partners and dependents with medical hardship due to unexpected major emergencies, are eligible to apply for a grant.

What are the details of funding?

It is a grant with a $5,000 lifetime maximum per REALTOR® member.

To apply for a grant, the applicant must be one of the following:

  • A current REALTOR® member of Cape Fear Realtors
  • A former REALTOR® member who, because of unexpected major emergencies has resigned within the last 12 months.
  • The family of a recently deceased REALTOR®, within six months.
